You can read this title two different ways. One way is as a nineties expression to voice your thoughts on travel; namely, that it rules. The other way is as a heading, as in for article stating the rules of travel. In DnD, both can be true, and let me tell you, the rules of travel will dictate whether or not you do, in fact, think travel rules.

I personally like traveling in DnD when it involves ability checks and random encounters, but the Durandor and Orothon group has gone through a few iterations because it can be clunky. Truth be told, I just want more opportunities to find random loot.



This cocktail was a spur of the moment grab before I left for a quick getaway to Palm Springs. I had a jar of peanut butter infused bourbon and a cool roll-up bag of cocktail tools. Add some fancy bitters and you got yourself and easy-peasy PBJ Old Fashioned.



I used sugar cubes because they travel well and the spiced cherry and chocolate bitters paired deliciously with the peanut butter bourbon. The peanut butter infusion was super strong, almost overwhelming, but crazy delicious in this cocktail.

Travel Rules
Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz peanut butter washed bourbon; I used Basil Hayden
- 1-2 cubes of sugar
- 2 droppers of spiced cherry bitters
- 1 dropper of chocolate bitters
- Travel cocktail kit (I got mine from Amazon)
Instructions:
Add the sugar cube(s) to a clean hotel glass, add bitters and muddle with a swizzle spoon. Add bourbon and ice to glass and stir to chill. Enjoy while gazing at the Palm Springs mountains!
To make peanut butter washed bourbon:
Pour a 750ml bottle of your preferred bourbon into a large container. Add 2-4 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter to the container. I’ve tried standard Jif/Skippy peanut butter and the boujie organic stuff; go with the standard Jif/Skippy or store brand.
Let sit for 1-3 days (taste-test along the way), then place in the freezer overnight to solidify the fat as much as possible. Strain the peanut butter out via strainer/cheesecloth.
